Joel Urban is a lifelong entrepreneur and community leader whose priorities have always been centered on faith, family, and service. As one of the founding members of the Eagle Education Foundation, Joel’s connection began when his three sons attended Watertown Christian School, where he served on the school board for many years. His passion for Christian education – and his belief that it should be affordable for all families was instrumental in the creation of the Foundation.
Joel began his entrepreneurial journey at age 25 and has since built and operated several independent and franchise businesses, including Yogi’s Drive Inn, Subway Sandwiches, U.S. Construction, Papa Murphy’s Pizza, Applied Water Technologies, and Firewise Inc. Though business ownership has been a lifelong calling, Joel views it as a platform for service, building opportunities that strengthen people and communities.
Born and raised in Watertown, Joel and his wife have made their home here since marrying in 1991. They are blessed with three sons and eight grandchildren.
